The 2nd thing to consider is the reputation of the giveaway itself.
You should join events where the quality of the gifts offered is monitored.
You really don’t want to be associated with a lame giveaway that seems lame or rookie.
It’s also wise to make sure that the organizer of the giveaway require partners to all promote the event. Those who are not promoting the event should be eliminated from the database of those able to receive subscribers pretty early in the giveaway’s timeline.
I’ve seen tons of free giveaways where many of contributors only gave an outdated product and then didn’t do any promotion. They just wanted to get a free ride.
Participating in free marketing giveaway events can boost your list-building. I know numerous online marketers who’ve built lists into the thousands… and even tens of thousands with most of their early list members being from free giveaways.
It really does work. It can help you build a targeted, responsive list if you offer the right gifts, and if you select good giveaways. If you join the wrong ones, submit JUNK, and then wait for others to do all of your work, you will be in for a big disappointment.
