spam emails being sent with my gmail account as sender ,Multiple Identities with the iPhone client ,Downloading attachments I’ve searched for information and only found one relevant post regarding this which no longer seems possible. I have multiple email accounts that forward to my gmail and I want to be able to reply to these emails as the identity of the email account. This is easy in the full web interface, but I cannot find any way to do this from the iPhone client. which forwards to my gmail account. I want to be able to reply to emails from my iPhone, coming from the me@mybusiness. com account. I just figured this out myself. After you hit reply, click on the FROM field twice. A scrolling selector will appear, and you can simply click the identity you wish to reply from. It’s very quick and easy. I just hope I can remember to use it. Hope this helps! Did you find this answer helpful? Sign in to vote. Report abuse I am not using the Gmail iPhone app, and I wonder if you are? I set up access to my Gmail account in iPhone Settings: Mail, Contacts. It took only seconds as Gmail is one of the built-in options. I find it very convenient to use, but that’s all I’ve ever used on my Iphone, so I’m not sure how the two methods compare. If you go this route, when you hit reply, there will be a field that says “from” and shows your e-mail address. You click this twice and choose the address you wish to reply from. It’s working out well for me, except sometimes I forget to do it!All the contacts from address book were sent spam email. Each recipient user also got like 7 – 10 bounce messages. On looking at account activity it shows the login information as below. The address below shows up as in china, a complete different country. I immediately changed the password but it is huge loss for me as many of my professional contacts have marked my email as junk. I also would appreciate very much a shortcut to “search contacts” in contacts screen ?? . . . . how about simply enter the group’s name in the Bcc: field (and since you’re sending to a group, you should be using Bcc: for their addresses rather than To:!) – you should see the Group name when you click on the underlined Bcc: to bring up the Chooser, but you will have to change the selection from the default of “Most Contacted” by clicking on the down arrowhead in that selection box. nice Michelle, except I would add the ability to click all send fields within the ‘contact chooser’ instead of having to close the ‘contact chooser’ and then click ‘Cc’ add contacts close, click ‘Bcc’ add contacts close; so for example clicking any send field in a composed message will bring up the ‘contact chooser’ wherein the other send fields ‘To’ ‘Cc’ and ‘Bcc’ are present to add contacts. long been a fan of auto-match (or auto-complete if you prefer!) since it’s much faster – if you’re used to it. Many (who come from the dark side!) have become so enamoured of that entity’s way of doing things that they cannot fathom Google’s way – so this enables everyone to have their cake and eat it!! you might have seen on the Gmail blog or in your account, we now offer a way to choose from your contacts when composing messages! Contact chooser, as many other great features in GMAIL, like inserting images on messages, took A LOT OF TIME to be implemented! this things are so basic and needed in a mail. Why these type of features that are available in most webmail sites (hotmail, yahoo, etc. ) a long time ago are recently available in GMAIL? . . . was about time. ! I have to say: EXCELLENT JOB! but, i do preffer to have in first place the basic stuff for a good mail composing, then the other features gmail offer since its launch, and not backwards. . well, how about 1. . . . “/” in a To: box would bring up contacts drop-down hint ajax list? /style auto-complete now/. . . wouldn’t that be easiest? 2. . . . present auto-complete might be adjusted to search all contacts already anyway, /or, what exactly is it searching now?/
